What’s Cooking Teena?

Pad Kra Pow (Holy Basil Chicken)

Pearl Yee’s Milder Version
Pearl used ground chicken, one green Anaheim pepper and one red Fresno pepper (all without seeds), and she substituted the Thai peppers, water, and sugar with 2 tablespoons of Thai chili sauce instead.
(Warning: When dicing fresh chili peppers, you may want to wear synthetic gloves) Otherwise, your fingers do tingle and burn!
For those who want no heat, just use a regular red bell pepper.

Ed pan-fried a perfect sunny side egg and layered it on top of the Pad Kra Pow over rice.

To cook Pad Krapow

4-5 cloves of garlic
10 fresh chillies
100g minced pork (chicken, minced beef, shrimp)
Pork stock
4-5 table spoons of Oyster sauce

1 table spoon of fish sauce
1 table spoon of soy sauce
A good pinch of sugar
A good handful of Thai basil leaves
1 egg

We will also need a pestle, mortar and a decent wok.
